Food Safety at The Bread Factory

At The Bread Factory, we recognise that food safety is critical to delivering quality products. In addition to hosting over 10 external audits per year, we are continually improving and upgrading our systems to meet the increased standards expected of us.

We also believe that it is not just systems that are important. We invest substantially in training programmes for our staff to ensure that food safety is an integral part of our company culture.

BRC (British Retail Consortium)

The Bread Factory holds the BRC Global Standard for Food Safety Certification. Led by Raph, our technical manager, our technical team continuously works to improve the systems and processes required to meet the BRC requirements for food safety.

We welcome customers who would like to visit to our bakery. We typically have over 10 customers per year conducting full-day audits and regularly invite chefs and technical teams to review our systems and processes.

HACCP (Hazard Analysis of Critical Control Points)

Each of the different production processes has been assessed using the HACCP protocol  and all the key areas identified in this process become the responsibility of specially trained staff.
